I just replaced a 2001 Saturn automatic transmission for about $2500. Wasn't a salvage transmission, so it cost a good bit more.
Passlock sensor (Ignition housing) Or body control module fault
Under ignition coils
I get GM ignition switches over the counter at my local parts store. Housing? Try a car wrecking yard.
There are 3 different things that can cause the security lights to flash constantly on a 2002 Saturn Vue. These things are a bad passlock sensor in the ignition housing, a bad BCM, or a bad PCM.
It bolts to the top of the intake manifold. It should have to large plugs on top of it
They go through the transmission bell housing from the driver side.
In the front of the motor by the transmission dipstick. This is where your spark plugs from the engine go.
The coil is located at the back of the intake manifold. There are two bolts that hold it to the intake, and two bolts that hold it to the head.
Drain the radiator into a container. Remove the top radiator hose at the engine. Remove the 2 bolts holding the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat and clean the surfaces. Install the new thermostat, housing, and bolts. Reinstall the top radiator hose and fill with coolant.
Try wiggling the steering wheel while trying to turn Also check if the whole signal/turn switch moves If you turn the wipers on max then wiggle up down and the whole assembly moves the ignition cylinder housing is worn and needs to be replaced. Note that the passlock/security sensor is in the housing and will need to be programmed after replace This is a very common problem especailly if you have lots of things on your key ring The weight wears out the housing
No. One of the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the engine is a challenge.
