(1) Pull the rear wiper arm cover back to access the wiper arm retaining nut and detach the nut and pull the wiper arm straight off the shaft. (2) Open the rear hatch glass and remove the rear wiper motor cover. (3) Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor. (4) Remove the motor mounting screw and remove the motor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
If one wants to replace a wiper linkage there are a few steps involved. Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield until the arm locks in vertical position. To replace a windshield wiper motor for a 1998 F150, first remove the bottom trim on the window. Then remove both wiper blade assemblies and all screws on the metal cowling. Remove the retaining clip from the wiper motor linkage and pull the controls rods off.
There is not enough information in the question to answer it. Any motor can pull any load through an appropriate pulley system. The question should include how fast that load needs to be moved.
Pull of the plastic cover at the lower driver side of windshield remove the single bolt holding the wiper are to the motor remove the three bolts holding the wiper motor in place grab a new motor and reverse your order. 4 bolts total, i think 8mm and 10mm.
The wiper arms have a small clip under them that pushes to the side, then the arms pull off. The motor is under the cowling, remove the cowling to gain access.
Pull the valance off the bottom of the wind shield.
It is inside of the wiper motor. Remove the 2 or 3 screews that's on the black cover that's on the front of the wiper motor and unplug the electrical connector. Remove the cover and then pull the module board out. Real easy no problem.
To get the wiper motor out you: 1. Lift the cover from the wiper are nut and take it off. 2. Pull the wiper arm off of the motor. 3. Remove the shaft seal, outer bushing nut and outer bushing. 4. Remove the trim panel from inside the hatchdoor. 5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor. 6. Remove the bolts and take the motor off.
look on the upper left side under the hood there you will see the pull arm for you wiper motor there will be 3 or 4 little bolts on the bottom of the plate the motor sits in and one on the the arm remove the bolt on the arm first and move it to the side then the other 3 or 4 on the plate push up on the back of the motor and give it a little pull it should pop right out unplug it and your done i bought a new wiper motor for around 25$
