Well there are numerous opinions of the Vietnam War from both the national and international front.
America:
1. They did not lose it they just left there.
2. America were doing a favour for the region trying to stop the spread of communism.
There are more but they are the general reasons and they are only the reasons of the government not the people.
International:
1. America was just trying to have a chance for international trade to be a bigger superpower by killing the communists and their forces and pretty much any opposition. Only because communism meant government control not in private ownership and went against capitalism.
2. They did a bad job there by killing children, women and innocent civilians.
3. Napalm that the military carried had mutated and done a lot of damage to people. If you Google this even on images you will have a good picture of it.
