intake? carb or injected (b2000,b2200 or b2600i) b2000 and b2200 pull the air cleaner and hoses ( watch were the vacuum lines go and unhook the little white 2 wire plug on the front) remove the fuel lines from the fuel pump ( on the pass. back of the head) remove the top and bottom manifold nuts. remove the throttle cable ( try not to loose the spot were it is on the shaft. you might be able to wiggle it out of the holder) you can use a long extension to get to the under side nuts and pull the bypass tube back out of the way. pull the manifold back and clean all of the old gasket off . clean the head and put new gasket in DRY (do not use silicone or gasket compound)
replace head gasket
The intake & exhaust manifold must be removed, then the head is remove. Head inspected for cracks and warpage, all gaskets replaced and all parts reinstalled.
How do you replace fuel pump 92 Mazda pick up B2200?
need to replace the intake manifold gasket
What is the cost to replace the head gasket on a Mazda MPV?
very carefully
The carbureted 86-93 Mazda trucks do have a catalytic converter off the exhaust manifold, whereas the fuel injected version does not. If you have the carbed version, and you put on a header (like a pacesetter) to replace the exhaust manifold, then you will get rid of 1 catalytic converter.
both are done much the same way.just make sure all torque settings etc are for whichever car you are working on
No
White smoke usually indicates steam. I don't think a bad intake manifold gasket would cause it, but a bad or blown head gasket certainly would. More than likely it is a bad head gasket or a cracked head. White smoke means you are getting anifreeze in your cumbustion chamber (cylinder) and when it fires it is burning the moisture creating white smoke.
