My friend if you can't find the drain plug which is located on the oil pan, you have no business going any farther. Pay someone to change your oil. But I will give you instructions if you wish to proceed. Park the car on solid level ground, and start the engine. Let it run for at least 5 minutes if the engine was cold. Shut it off, and jack up the front of the car, and place jack stands on each side. Now crawl under the car and find the drain plug located on the oil pan, located on the bottom of the engine. Remove it and drain all the oil out. Use a socket or boxed end wrench. Do not use an open end wrench or adjustable wrench. The bolt turns counterclockwise to loosen, same with the filter. While under there find the filter and remove making sure the gasket of the old filter also comes off of. Wipe the filter mounting base clean and the apply oil to the gasket of the new filter. Install the new filter and tighten 3/4 turn after it makes contact with the mounting surface. WARNING: Tighten 3/4 turn, no more no less. It may not appear to be tight enough but it is, as it will get tighter once it gets hot. Replace the drain plug after all the oil is removed, (wipe the area clean before installing), and tighten to 20 lb/ft of torque or if you have no torque wrench tighten with a very short wrench until it is snug. Do not over-tighten and be careful and not cross thread the bolt. Remove jack stands and lower the car. Pour in the correct amount and weight of oil, 4.5 quarts of 5W30. Double check the amount and weight in your owner's manual. Replace the oil cap and start the engine, and let it run for 2 minutes, while checking for leaks at the filter and drain plug. If no leaks you have changed your oil and are good to go. If you follow these directions to the letter you will have no leaks. Be sure and take the old oil to a recycle center. Most Auto parts stores and Walmart will take it.
The 2005 Chevrolet Impala air conditioning evaporator drain is located on the bottom of the air conditioner compressor. The evaporator drain should have a tube attached to it.
It is on the passenger side firewall down low.
It is located on the bottom right hand side of the radiator.
It is located under the hood on the passenger's side of the firewall down low.
Just beneath the lower radiator hose is the drain.
The air conditioning drain is on the passenger's side of the firewall. If you do not have air pressure to blow into it to get it to drain then you might use something soft and flexible so as not to put a hole in the evaporator.
It is beneath the lower radiator hose.
Plug should be at bottom or rear of radiator or disconnect the lower radiator hose
It is on the very bottom of the engine on the oil pan.
On the passenger's side on the firewall just below where the evaporator would be.
Drain the radiator down 1/2 way into a container. Remove the top radiator hose from the engine end. The housing is where the thermostat is located. Remove the 2 bolts and the housing. Remove the thermostat and clean the surfaces and install the thermostat.
