you can peform the oil change rather easily on your truck. just make sure you have a flat pan or some other form or plate to deflect the oil into your catch pan. then just remove the old filter and make sure the gasket is removed as well. then wipe done the filter baseplate to make sure it will have clean contact with the new filter gasket. lube the gasket on the new oil filter and just tighten the filter until it's snug. all is left to do is add oil which should be five quarts. i would recommend 10w30 oil if there's more than 100,000 miles on it and either a high mileage oil or a semi synthetic oil. . steve
