make it out of wood....i like 5/8 MDF cause of resonance ,or 7/8 if u can find it .ok... lxwxh=_________________________divided by1,728. say a box 12 inches x12x 12.. will be one cubic foot of airspace....so then on the angles youll have to do the math like a full box but then u gotta divide the angle in half to find out the air space in that angle. theres 1,728 cu. inches in a cu. ft. inside measurements will be more accurate .....good luck
Based on the following tables I mocked up of square-based boxes, I'd say cutting off 2 inch corners so that you have a box 2 inches tall would give you the biggest volume open top box from a 12x12 inch square.HWDVol1101010028812836610844464522206000HWDVol1.78.68.6125.7321.88.48.4127.0081.98.28.2127.7562881282.17.87.8127.7642.27.67.6127.0722.37.47.4125.948

I have made a talk box before. What you need is some surgical tubing, a high current dual pole single throw switch, a small - high powered- speaker and a small sealable box to fit it in. You will also need an amplifier that has the speaker output that you can use. You need to mount the speaker and the switch into the box - wiring the speaker so when you push the switch, it will route the signal to the speaker in the box or back to the speaker from the amplifier. Make sure that the box has a hole in it that you can attach the surgical tubing that is on the same side as the front of the speaker. Attach the tubing to the box. If you want, there are plumbing fitings that you can buy from your local hardware store that will allow you to remove the tubing from the box. Then seal it all up. You can use silicone for that. run the surgical tubing from the box to the microphone that you are using. The sound will travel through the surgical tubing and into your mouth and then through the microphone.
The size speaker to give off good sound as a boom box is boze speakers 8 inch speakers. They are top line small speaker that provides extend sound through a room.
Wood. It makes a really great sound.
Calculating air space for a speaker box is crucial. A box that is not large enough will make the speaker sound horrid. To find the correct amount of space necessary?æ multiply the width, length and height of the speaker than divide everything by 1728. This will calculate the amount of square inches of air space needed for the box.

Yes, but make sure it has drainage holes and won't drip on your table.
How about this: What's inside the box? How Sound Wave Intensity changes in a speaker box to outside.
Typically, the speaker cabinet is powered by the Amplifier. It's the amp that is raising the volume and power to make the speaker move. "Combo" amps have the amplifier and speakers in one box.
Just take out the speakers from the speaker box and make a new box for the speakers if they dont fit.
