1) Unscrew the plastic trim screw and pull back the plastic/felt trim piece. Although you can touch the plastic lamp housings, I could not remove them easily.

2) Unscrew the three(3) 8mm nuts that hold the rear lens housing to the metal frame.

3) Pull the lens housing away from the car.

4) Turn the plastic lamp housing counterclockwise to remove. Note that this took a fair amount of torque on my car. Careful though, you don't want to break it. I applied some lube to the unit when replacing.

5) Remove and replace bulb. Test the other lamp functions while you are at it (back-up, turn, lights, brake).

6) Reverse the order to reassemble. (Good luck)

Answer 2The plastic lamp housing in step 1) can be removed simply by turning it counter-clockwise. Removing the cables going to the lamp should make it a little easier. To remove the cables, push the small plastic tab in the middle of one of the longer edges of the rectangular connector and pull it out.

I was able to replace my bulb in a couple of minutes without the need to remove the whole lens housing as described in steps 2) and 3)

No need for Steps 2 & 3 above

1. Peel the lining away from the interior on the required side wall of the trunk and find the socket containing the broken bulb.

2.Twist the turn signal bulb socket one quarter-turn counterclockwise to remove it from the taillight assembly. Then, Pull the broken bulb straight out of the socket and dispose of it immediately.

3.Insert the replacement bulb directly into the empty socket, and then twist the socket back into the taillight assembly.

4. Test the new light to make sure it's working. If everything checks out, fasten the trunk lining back into place and close the trunk.

To replace the Center Brake light is very simple as well

1) Open the trunk

2) Remove the electrical connector going to the brake light (will require pushing in a "tang" on the connector

3) Identify the 2 "front" (toward the passenger compartment) plastic tabs holding the brake light housing in place and pop them loose with your fingers

4) Identify the 2 "rear" (toward the trunk) plastic tabs holding the brake light housing in place and pop them loose with your fingers as well - the brake light housing should now be sitting "loose" in the passenger compartment

5) From the back seat (inside the car), pull the housing free

6) When you turn the housing upside down, the light and connector will be easily visible. Turn the connector holding the light in the opposite direction from the arrow that says "lock" and pull the bulb and connector out. I needed a pair of channel lock pliers to get it free

7) Get a couple of small screwdrivers (mini-swiss-army-knife size works) and push the "tangs" at the base of the bulb toward the case then pull the bulb loose.

8) Push the replacement bulb into place and reverse the above directions to put the housing back in place and reconnect

There is an access point in the trunk under the housing such that you could probably pull the bulb out without removing the whole housing (just do steps 6 -8) but I did it the other way so I could see what was going on and had all the leverage I needed
