Germany was treated very badly at the Treaty of Versailles because they got the blame for WW1 although they never started the war and also because they have to pay for all the damage that happened in the war, they lost their land.

Germany was only allowed 100.000 soldiers through out the war which was making them loose the war and they only had a short supply of food and water which made 3 quarter million die from hunger.

Germany were treated unfairly at Versailles because they had to pay £6.6 billion as indemnity for war. There were also many military restrictions written on the Treaty. Germany could only have an army of 100,000 men, no submarines, no air force, limited navy of 15,000 men, 36 ships and only 6 battleships. Pieces of land like West Prussia, Anschluss and Saar were given to surrounding nations. Germany were forced to take blame and pay for the war, or to go back to fighting if they didn't do so. The people called the treaty a 'Diktat'- 'Dictated Peace.' Anyone who didn't agree with the Treaty were denounced as the 'November Criminals.' Nearly every German person believed that the Treaty was unfair on Germany, however some like 'Bernard Partridge,' drew Cartoons to show that if Germany had won the war, they would have charged the surrounding countries four times the amount to pay as reparations. April 17th, 1923, Hitler declared,' the Treaty was made in order to ruin Germany.'
