When WW2 broke out all refugees (and other residents) from Germany and Austria technically became 'enemy aliens'. Tribunals were set up to determine who was a refugee, who was considered a security threat and those whose status could not be determined. The vast majoity of German citizens in Britain in 1939 were classified as refugees. However, a number were interned.
In the final stages of the evacuation from Dunkirk (May-June 1940) a few thousand foreign civilians came to Britain without any passport checks. Some sections of the popular press stirred up hysteria saying that these people included Nazi saboteurs, terrorists and spies. The government 'interned the lot' (except women against whom there was no suspicion). Those who were interned were again sorted by tribunals, and most were released.
In general the treatment given to refugees in camps was neither particularly good nor bad. Some were sent to Canada or Australia (!) and some were treated badly.
they kept them in some kind of camp. all the food they would get was only a piece of bread and cup of cold tea, that's all they had every day. lots of them died on the camp because they starved to deth, but some of them maneged to stay a live and when the war was finished the gone free.
they were treated a lot worse.
There is no difference in New Zealand between Jewish refugees getting citizenship and other refugees. The only place where Jewish refugees are treated differently (in a positive way) is Israel. Jewish refugees are openly shunned from all Muslim-majority countries.

No, initially in 1939 the Soviet Union welcomed Jewish refugees, but this soon turned and they were treated with suspicion.
