A netbook is kind of like a mini laptop. There are new laptops coming out as a new brand known as Acer. Acer netbooks have 7-9 inches diagonally across the monitor screen. To give you a hint of what that is like a Macbook Pro can have 13-17 inches diagonally across the monitor screen. Oftentimes, a netbook will have up to 2 USB ports (the Mac Mini I'm using to type this has 4) and no CD slot. Now, a notebook is ridiculously primitive. A notebook is useful as a portable database, a word processor, and maybe for a game or 2 of Chess or checkers in black and white. That's about it. It doesn't even have internet. Nowadays, netbooks are all the rage. They're ultra-portable and cost less than $400 (and just to give a hint about that, the average Macbook Pro costs $1300). And to let you know, notebooks aren't made anymore because they don't have wireless or wired internet.
I am using Intel Atom based Netbook, which is thinner more portable and also it's a lightweight and easy to take anywhere you can enjoy reading EBooks, playing games and many other work that is associated with your nature of job.
