diesel gets better gas mileage and is high in torque. and diesel engines can last up to 1,000,000 miles.but the down side about diesel is its almost 5 dollars a gallon and they are loud trucks. gas engines are quieter but still deliver a pretty good sum of horsepower they might not have as much torque but they do the job most of the time. diesel is also much more expensive to maintain gas is not. [Not true, A diesel trucks needs only oil changes, and filter changes. Whereas a gas truck will require plugs, wires, EGR sensors etc to maintain] on which truck to get i would have to say the Dodge Cummins diesel this is a beautiful engine its better than fords diesel and chevy's diesel and its strong. get a truck that fits you. if you want a diesel get the dodge Cummings if you want a gas truck get the F-150 its the best selling gas truck on the road.

If you tow, haul heavy loads or work your truck in any way. Then the only option is a diesel. They run circles around the gas engines. If you are using the truck solely for transportation because you prefer the truck style of vehicle, then a gas engine would be a better choice.

To own a diesel you must become a diesel person as these engines are different from gas engines and require different knowledge and thinking than a gas engine does. A properly maintained diesel will be just as reliable as a gas engine, and be cheaper to maintain over the life of the engine.

They can be a handful, especially in winter climates, but the benefits clearly outweigh the drawbacks. The new Duramax engines are very quiet. They tow so well that the most common complaint is that people forget they are towing and drive too fast. The Cummins in the new Dodge Trucks are also excellent engines. They are only noisy if you are outside the truck. If you are a Ford person try to get an older 7.3 as they are much more reliable than the new 6 liter engnes.

Diesels also have the advantage of being able to run biodiesel, making them greener than a similar gas vehicle.

Awaiting the Diesel Electric Hybrid?

Currently, diesel electric hybrids have yet to hit the auto market. However, their arrival onto the market is eagerly anticipated by millions of people. Trucking companies will be able to save thousands of dollars on gasoline with the use of diesel electric hybrids. These cars will be able to transform the market. However, right now they are projected to be quite expensive when they finally do make it onto the market.

How can oil companies deal with the relative supply and demand for petrol and diesel fractions?

The supply and demand for diesel and gasoline (petrol) creates problems for refineries because sometimes the vehicle fleet demand does not match the product distribution produced by the refinery. If diesel demand is much higher than gasoline demand, but gasoline and diesel are produced in relatively equal amounts, then the gasoline will be oversupplied to the market. A refinery can only affect its product distribution slightly and each refinery is built to process a particular type of crude oil. Switching crude oils in a refinery requires complex analysis of metallurgy, capacity limitations, and profitability.

Diesel Trucks for Sale Have Several Advantages?

People choose to look for diesel trucks for sale for a variety of reasons. They might need them for work, or they might be using them to tow recreational vehicles or boats to get them where they want them. They may also choose to seek diesel trucks for sale if they enjoy going off-roading. There are several advantages that diesel engines have over typical gasoline engines, including the mileage and the trade in value of the vehicle itself. Because of the fact that a new vehicle loses value quite rapidly in its first few years, many people who are serious about trucks decide to go after diesel trucks for sale. While it is true that it can sometimes be more difficult to find a diesel truck than a typical truck, their are several advantages that they have. It might be true that diesel trucks tend to cost a little bit more up front, but diesel trucks tend to hold onto their value for much longer. By comparing otherwise identical trucks with one another, you can see that used diesel trucks cost quite a bit more than new diesel trucks. Of course, if you care at all about your vehicle, the reason why it costs more should be more important to you than the financial advantages. Diesel engines are simply more reliable and last longer than typical gasoline engines. When put under heavy strain for long periods of time, they are especially resilient. Another advantage that is especially beneficial in this economy is the gas mileage. Diesel trucks can offer as much as a third more miles to the gallon than gasoline driven trucks. It is sometimes true that diesel can cost a little more than gasoline. Nevertheless, the prices of diesel hold much more steady than the prices of gasoline. The market for diesel is much less volatile, and tends not to spike in price suddenly, the way that gasoline does. In comparison with gasoline trucks, there are not too many disadvantages to diesel trucks. Of course, diesel trucks for sale tend to cost more than gas-powered trucks, as has already been discussed. There is, of course, the smell of diesel. Unlike the carbon monoxide emissions from gas-powered trucks, diesel does have a distinct smell. In the end, however, the added fuel mileage, increased reliability, and longer lasting market value all add up to make the diesel-powered truck a better option for many people.

What type of fuel do the most efficient home generators run on?

After doing some research on generator fuel. It seems generators which accept diesel tend to be pricier however they are most efficient and conservative than the other generators on the market. However gasoline also has its advantages as may not be as efficient as diesel but you can use excess amounts to fuel your vehicle. But the same can be said for diesel if you vehicle accepts it.
