If it was the throwout bearing, it would affect all of the gears, not just one. I would suspect a bad gear or syncronizer.
When the wheel bearing was replaced did the axel get pulled out of the transmission ? it might not be all the way in ,or it could of hit the seal and tore it !

You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2002 Geo Tracker. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Remove the wheel seal and the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install the new wheel bearing.
If all the u joints were replaced it could be a broken or frozen wheel bearing. A broken gear in the transmission, a broken bearing in the engine.

if the bearing will not stay in, the housing is worn.this can be repaired by using a new bearing with a speedy sleeve. u will need to go to a bearing supplier to get this. a good mechanic will know what it is, but an average mechanic will have no clue. also heavy equipment mechanic will know what it is

go to harbor freight and get a bushing/pilot tool for about $30, works wonders , I'm a mechanic
