If all the u joints were replaced it could be a broken or frozen wheel bearing. A broken gear in the transmission, a broken bearing in the engine.
Yes you can, But the driveshaft won't be long enough.
If you're talking about the length of the driveshaft, the front yoke should go into the transmission all but 1 inch.
It will, although you might have to get the rear driveshaft shortened, as the 700R4 will be longer than the TH350 which was used in 1983.
i recently did the same on my 81 monte. her names carla! if you can track down a 78 thru 88 monte the 700r4 trans is to long but the 200r4 overdrive tranny is the same length and yoke as your th350. all monte g bodies were over drive but thr 200r4 and th350 are the same length! good luck and keep that monte on the road!!! see you at the light!
700R4 and 200-4R can typically be used with minor modifications for most applications. Modifications are usually limited to driveshaft length, crossmember type or position, and downshift cable setup.
Most likely, it's the noise resonating along the driveshaft from slop in the rear end gear, u-joints or trans output shaft.
According to Novak Adapters, the TH350 weighs 120 lbs.
if you have an electrical plug and its a th350. you have a th350C or lock up. it is to control; the lock up soliniod
Yes, assuming the TH350 has the Buick-Olds-Pontiac bolt pattern. A Chevy TH350 will also bolt up, but you will need an adapter from B&M or another supplier.
It's a GM transmission.
yes they are because of the lock up convertor used.
turbo 350, TH350. but its a BOP TH350 not a chevy, same tranny, different mounting holes
