Dodge Intrepid Lost HVAC Heat Q. On my 1993 Dodge Intrepid, I lost heat for no reason. The fan works, I checked the fuses, they are fine. It only blows cold air down on my feet even if I put the setting on Defrost only. I checked the hoses coming into the firewall and they are both hot. The car is not overheating. Could this be the core? Your help is awesome. You fixed my other problem. Dodge Intrepid Dash Light WeirdnessLaurie A. If there is no heat at all, but the modes change as normal, then the possibilities get narrowed down quite a bit. Since you did not mention if this has Manual Temperature Control or Automatic Temperature Control I'm going to assume it is a manual system. The most likely possibility is a bad Blend Air Door Actuator. The temperature door actuator is located at the bottom of the heater housing at the center tunnel. Remove the three screws holding the actuator and turn it so you can see the drive. Upon removal, note the shaft position of the actuator, because the shaft on this motor is keyed. As you change the temperature setting, the drive should move one way or the other. If it does, then the Blend Air Door is stuck or broken. If it doesn't move, then the problem is with the control panel or the wiring in between the control panel and the actuator.

i have problem my dodge intrepid 97 v6 3.5 overheating just in the machine not a radiator system
I don't know what that problem is but if you find out what the problem is could you email me at odellk@wowway.com and let me know!! I have the same problem with my 1994 3.3l intrepid! I have a 1993 3.3l intrepid that's doing the exact same thing. I've had the crank sensor changed out, the cam sensor changed, checked all fuses and it's still doing it
check your alternator it might be bad.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem
I had this Problem once on an old Nissan. Once i changed the switch the problem continued. What resolved the issue was changing the ballast resistor located on the blower housing, Once i changed this resistor, all my speeds became available again.
Check for current at the heater and both breakers. After that the only thing in the system is the control.
I had this same problem when i installed my stereo CD player its a fuse that blew... changed it out and no more honk when i turn the key! hope it helps!@
Yes, my grand am had that problem a week ago, changed out the sensor and it runs like a champ!
In the 1998 Intrepid ES, 1684 indicates a problem with the catalytic converter. It probably is the same for the 2000.
i had the same problem with my 02 intrepid it was the idler pulley to the ac belt $19 to fix it.
Possible warpped rotor or wheel bearings, check with a shop
200,000 miles is not a problem with normal maintenance.
