i am having the same problem...have you found the solution yet?
I had the same problem and had to get the steering column replaced. This is not something anyone can cause nor prevent. I had it fixed by the dealer but GM was not accomodating in fixing the defect in their product. I have filed a complaint with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at (888) 327-4236. If enough people call with complaints, it can prompt a recall in which GM will have to pay for the reapirs. I encourage anyone with power steering problems to call and file a complaint. This Power Steering component is the same as the Pontiac G6. NHTSA forced an extension on the warranty of that part due to complaints by G6 owners.
