This is likely a combination of many minor problems. the bearings may be worn a bit, the oil pump worn, a look at a different oil and filter may be worth looking at and a bit of a funky oil pressure sending unit. the question did not say how many miles/kilometers is on the engine and if it is light or heavy work load on a regular basis. hope this is helpfull. Personaly on my own vehicle the oil pump is where I would start.
I had first hand experience with this issue. All I had to do is switch oil weight (I switched to 20w50 in summer and 15w40 in the winter).
Most automotive AC compressors use a cycling clutch compressor, where the clutch is engaged by pressure switches which will engage the compressor clutch when the pressure reaches a predetermined low level, and disengages it when it reaches a predetermined high pressure.
Low oil pressure caused by low oil level, defective oil pressure sending unit, or defective oil pump.
No. A drop in oil pressure can be nothing more than a faulty oil pressure sending unit. It can also be caused by a weak oil pump, worn piston rings, worn bearings, or defective oil pressure gauge. The catalytic converter will not cause this.
This is telling you to check your oil. Not just check your oil. This light lets you know there is a problem with the lubrication system. It could be low on oil (easiest fix, add oil to full mark). it could also be a more serious issue causing low oil pressure. This light comes on when the oil pressure is low, which can be caused by low oil level. The oil pressure sending unit could be defective as well, or the oil pump inside the engine could be going out. The best thing to do is check the oil level, if it is full remove the oil pressure sending unit and install a manual gauge and see what the oil pressure actually is. If it is low, take it to a mechanic, if it is normal (25-80 PSI@ 3000 RPM at operating temp), replace the sending unit.
Remove oil sending unit and install a mechanical gauge to actually test oil pressure Low pressure may be caused be worn internal engine parts (bearings) or a weak oil pump
It means you have low oil pressure. This might be caused by actually haveing low oil pressure, or maybe the oil pressure sending unit is defective. You should have this looked at by a professional mechanic. Do not continue to drive the vehicle in this condition.
It could be caused by many reasons. First you have to see if the coolantlevel is full, and then when the engine reaches operating temp, is the coolant hot or cold.
Air pressure is caused by the unequal heating of earth's surface.
air pressure is caused by the constant motion of air molecules
Check oil level Check actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge Could be caused by excessive engine wear (bearings) or weak oil pump Bad oil pressure sending unit
