You need 4 things for an engine to run. An unobstructed air source, compression, good fuel at the right time, strong spark at the right time. You are missing one or more of those things. If the engine is spinning over real fast without any resistance, you might have no compression, which could be due to the timing belt having jumped time. You could have no fuel pressure, due to a bad fuel pump. You could have no spark due to a bad coil. You could have no injector pulse due to a bad PCM or some other problem with the engine control system. Check air intake, fuel and fuel injector pulse, spark, and compression. Find out what you are missing, and you will be able to narrow it down to what sub-system is causing the problem.
If the engine is TOTALLY dead it is not the IAC valve
Check your emergency fuel pump cutoff.
check the compression on it if it turns over and doesnt start you might have fried the rings
check if you have fuel and spark it needs both to work
carborator
That was happening to my Ford Focus, turns out it was the alternator, i got it changed now it turns on...
If your car doesnt start, it could be the battery. But if the car starts and you unplug the negative cable and the car turns off, its the alternator.
could be disdributor
White smoke is cold combustion, and the fail to run up to idle on the first start points to not enough heat in the combustion chamber. Probably the glowplugs failing. Cheap and easy to replace, get them checked first.
If it turns over slowly like a dead battery it could be a bad starterIt if turns over normally, but hard starting, could be fuel injectors leaking
Type your answer here... try replaceing neutral safety swith on starting in neutral
