If a car is driven like a normal car no abuse what could cause a brand new clutch to burn out in less than 4000km incorrect installation if so what could have been done incorrectly?

Most probable reason was incorrect adjustment at time of installation. Assuming all the correct parts were fitted and the parts were assembled correctly by the maufacturer then the only other problem could be the final adjustment. There must be clearance between the throw out bearing and the fingers of the pressure plate when the clutch is in the engaged (driving) position.
