When it comes to engine swaps, anything is possible. Will it bolt right in with no modifications? Now way. You're talking about putting a german-made engine from a car into an American-made pickup. Just a few problem include: The bolt patern from your s-10 transmission (regardless whether it's a manual or automatic) to the VW engine will be diffrent. You could have a machine shop build a converter/spacer to make it work, but then you would have to have a custom driveshaft built because of the new length. Anything is possible, but it would take an accomplished mechanic/fabricator/machineist to do this job, and a variety of specialized tools.
Its Possible that your head is worped, or crack in the head or block

the paint code will be on the trim tag plate...when you open the hood it will be attached to the bodt right in front of the windshield on the drivers side it will say something simalar to 19u 19L than look that up on the web ...just put in trim tag decoding and that will lead you to the site to decode..19u 19L simply means it was yellow on the upper and 19L means it was yellow on the lower portion
Anything is possible, would not be a direct fit.
Never put gas in a diesel car. And never put diesel in a gas car. An engine is built to handle one and not the other.
