Parents are legally and financially responsible for their child/children until they reach the age of majority for the state in which they reside. A parent cannot "kick out" a minor child w/o providing a place for said minor to reside and paying for the minor's needs, or w/o having a court order relieving them of parental responsibility. In most states the legal age is 18, in Alabama and Nebraska it is 19, in Mississippi and Pennsylvania it is 21 (with some exceptions as decided by the court).
If you live in a state where the legal age is 18, the police can bring you back home.
