The only snag that I can think of is the sterring colum. We are about to do the same thing with my sons 86 transam-firebird. Maybee we can keep in touch with each other. cc@austin.rr.com Carlton - aka mach1dude I put a left side dipstick engine in a right side dipstick pickup truck once. There was a problem getting around the left side exhaust manifold. If you plan to use headers it should be pretty simple.
Older engines have the dipstick on the driver's side. There is a hole in the side of the block between 5 & 7. Newer ones have the dipstick tube in the passenger side of the oil pan.
It depends on the year it was manufactured. Some of them are on the driver's side of the block, some on the passenger's side.
it should go in threw the head on the driver side but some go in threw the block on the passenger side
No. 1968 and 1969 came with one driver's side mirror only.
Back near the fire wall on the passenger side Edit: Actually, it is located near the firewall, but not the passenger side. Its in the middle closer to the driver side. That is, if its the 5.2L. I'm not sure of other engine sizes.
Driver side back by the firewall look down you will see a small dipstick put a funnel in where the dipstick is and pour slow adding only enough to make it full Do not put it in the passenger side where the transfer case is
Either in the console between the driver's and passenger seat or along the transmission hump at the passenger's side
The oil dipstick tube comes out of the block on the driver's side.
In your case, in the driver's seat.
On driver side, you will have to remove the steering assembly. With the passenger side you should only have to remove the factory manifold.
Fill throught the dipstick tube- look at the driver's side rear of engine - difficult to find ======================================================= That should be the PASSENGER side , rear of engine
The tranny dipstick will be of a maroon color an the driver side of the car.
