I'd call a locksmith. The ignition wil probably have to be drilled and replaced.
If your battery is fully charged and the connections are clean and tight, the problem is probably that the contacts in the switch are corroded or worn, meaning your ignition switch will have to be replaced.

follow the wire from the positive side of the battery it will lead you to it
It could be the ICM or the pickup module.
timming just needs to be close the computer adjusts it to what it needs and the points are gone since the early 70's it is electronic with moduales, sensors and such
remove the ignition tumbler from column and crank it with a insulated handle flatblade screwdriver if the ignition is located in the dash remove key tumbler by inserting a small pin in the hole located above the key hole and it will pop out using a screwdriver and turn it over that way
I have changed an ignition in one. I used a pneumatic cut-off wheel to cut straight slots in the blank faces of the two bolts that retain the lock cylinder. Then, I used an impact screwdriver to remove the bolts. when you get the new ignition lock cylinder, you can use a large flat screwdriver to re-install the bolts.

You will need to remove the retaining ring from the top of your 1975 Chevrolet pickup truck ignition cylinder. Slide the ignition cylinder out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition cylinder.

remove the plastic coverings from around the steering wheel (3 screws on the bottom), turn the ignition to the running position and take a small screwdriver and move the pin up on the bottom of the ignition cylender and pull it out. dunno if my explanation is detailed enough... oh well.
