Yes, and contrary to myths heard on certain Talk Shows, President Obama has deported more undocumented immigrants than President Bush did. But he did decide to stop the deportation of the so-called "Dreamers"-- kids who were brought to the US as infants or young children, and have lived here all their lives; some are now college age, others want to serve in the US Military. In all cases, the US is the only home they have ever known, and they had no say in being brought here. Thus, there are now members of congress from both parties who believe the Dreamers are being punished for the sins of their parents, and they would like to create a policy to address the issue. But because congress is so gridlocked, and cannot agree on Immigration reform, the status of these young people remains in limbo.
