Is Mecca center of the world?

Mecca is the center of the Islamic world. Because Islam is such a large, and often misunderstood religion, it is quite important to the rest of the world as well. I'm not sure that any place is entitled to be called "The Center of the World". Rome is the center of the Christian world, New York is the center of the financial world (one of them anyway) and so on. Does that make them more important than all the rest? I think not.

Makkah is located on the Arabian peninsula, between Africa, Asia, and Europe. If all the of the earth's landmasses are fitted together, Makkah is in the center.

No, because the centre of the Earth is called the Core. The next layer up is the Inner Core, then Outer Core, after them is the Mantel and finally is the Crust which we live on.
