It is unclear.
There are several Middle Eastern countries with seismic activity, but no country has an impressive history of seismic activity like Japan does. Turkey has had a number of recent earthquakes in the eastern areas, especially near the city of Van. However, Iran has also been hit with serious earthquakes and there are quite usual tremors in most of the Levant and western Saudi Arabia.
