A Cheyenne is not a Silverado. They are both different trim levels of the 88-98 Chevrolet c/k 1500/2500/3500. (c being 2 wheel drive and k being 4 wheel drive.) The Cheyenne is the baseline model, while the Silverado is the high end model; not all parts are interchangeable and there are larger differences overall such as:
-Vortec heads in 1996+ engines
-Not all interior trim is interchangeable between the trim levels, one example being A pillar plastic
-Different transmissions
-95+ had a rounded dash opposed to the previous square dash
-94+ had different grilles then previous years, they also had filler peices below the grill opposed to it being all one peice previously
Also, when speaking of the directly comparable GMC, which is nearly identical, not all the parts are interchangeable as some claim. One example is the clear corner headlights. Aside from this, the only major difference between GMC and Chevy is the grilles and trim names.
A Chevy Cheyenne and Silverado are the same its just that they changed the name in Mexico from Silverado to Cheyenne
most 88-98 Chevy pickups are basically the same. the only difference between yhe cheyenne and silverado is the trim.
Silverado's are the more luxurious version. They have carpeted floors and leather seats. Cheyennes have vinyl interiors and bench / couch seats.
Chevy Cruz is a diesel engine, some other models that Chevy offers with Deisel engines are the Impala, the Sierra, the Cheyenne, and the Chevy Silverado.
difference in a cheyenne and silveradoChevy cheyenne was a lighter duty model, normal difference would in the frames thickness and suspension capabilities, the silverado was made on a heavier frame and the rear gearing might be a little different to allow for more initial torque when towing a heavy load or when hauling, being as how the silverado it consider the best of the Chevy truck series, for towing, being beat by only one other on the market... the Chevy Suburban which has been the leading vehicle on the market for years as perfoming the best when towing....
Yes it can.... Also a 1999 & a 2000 chevy cheyenne will fit to.... One more thing a 99 & 2000 2500HD are the same and will fit to...
92 to 95 Chevy only changed the interior. the motors should be the same.
In essence, yes. They are a trim level. So it's the same truck with different trim level packages.
I recently swapped the other way, from Silverado to Cheyenne grill when repairing collision damage on a Silverado. I did not care for the plastic/ composite headlights, and the donorparts were from a Cheyenne. All of the bolt holes were there on both trucks to goeither way. After removing the grille, remove the spring/ buckets/ adjusters from the Cheyenne, install the silverado composite headlights (you will need four metric bolts to match the existing headlight bracket retaining nuts in the radiator support of your truck. You will have todo a little rewiring since the connectors are different for the sealed beams and the composite lights. I have seen companies on the net that sell a complete Silverado change over kit. FYI:Be prepared to battle with the composite headlights yellowing and getting dim at night if the truck will be parked outdoors. Areyou interested in selling your Silverado parts? I have a used Silverado grill and headlights I would be willing to trade.
They are designations of trim levels. The Cheyenne is usually optioned only slightly better than a work truck with manual windows, locks and rubber floors but they are still options, The Silverado is the higher trim model with a higher base price and more standard features like power windows, mirrors, locks and carpet with bucket seats and alloy wheels. .
yes
Tim Allen does the Chevy Silverado HD commercial, but Dylan Bruno does other Chevy commercials (Cruze, Silverado).
