I assume we are speaking of the camels that roam Northern Africa thru the Sahara. The Camels that are used throughout the Middle east as well. One could argue that they are domesticated. This because, believe it or not, Camels were imported to the Middle East and Northern Africa from South East Asia and from climates much different than where they currently reside.. I believe that camels would not do well in harsh desert climates if they didn't have humans to help them. Their bodies are well suited for a life walking in sand with little water. Camels like all large animals are dangerous when they get angry. An owner who treats his camel poorly might as well be working with a cat (that can't be done). Its going to kick you (very Painful) Bone breaking strength in those legs. The Camel can Spit food from his 4th stomach at you. That's basically a feces spitball. Domesticated yes just like Elephants. They let you know who is in charge. But The partnership that is needed between man and camel makes it a domesticated but just barely.
Camels began as wild animals, although comparatively few exist today. They are not actually pets, but many are domesticated animals, so-called "beasts of burden" (like the horse, mule, and ox). Some are used to supply milk products, while others are consumed as food.
Escaped camels have formed large feral herds in central Australia, to the detriment of the environment there.
A pet is a animal that humans have. A wild animal is a animal that lives outdoors. A bear is a wild animal. A cat is a pet.
A camel is a domestic animal, because it is used by humans and more or less tame and kept by humans

In my opinion, no wild animal should be kept as a pet, excepting zoos. But there are stupid people out there who do.
a monkey could be kept as a pet
Any wild animal kept as a pet has the potential to be dangerous.
a camel who makes you deliver carpets and wallpaper to people
Technically an exotic is an animal kept as a pet that is not native to the country you live in. It is also an animal that most would consider a wild animal.
No, it's a wild animal.
