When the engine is on, batteries are being recharged. If you use a lot of electric power when the engine is off, you can drain your battery to the point where it will no longer be able to start your engine, and you will need to jump-start it.
Blown Fuse, Bad relay, bad fan motor.
turn the engine off try turning the fan if it doesnt turn the clutch on the fan is bad it
does it have an electric fan? if so, it could be bad. or if not elec fan, the fan clutch. or just got a bad t'stat
cools the engine. without a fan, the car will overheat and the coolant will boil. the fan controls this from happening by cooling the coolant as it passes through the radiator.
bad fan or bad fan relay
The cooling fan is electric and the sensor reads that your car is hot. It stays on, even when the car is off so that it can cool your engine to acceptable temperatures. If it didn't, and the car remains too hot, it can warp parts and destroy your engine. If the fan runs for an exceptionally long time, and drains your battery giving you a no start or weak battery slow start condition, you may have a bad cooling fan relay.
Bad fan motor? See if you are getting power to it Bad sensor? Bad fuse?
to blow out the smoke the car produced
check power to fan, wiring, bad relay, bad fan. you can hot wire fan - take 2 wires w/ alligator clips on each end, connect each one to car battery terminal, then ground the NEG wire alligator clip to metal on car, then the POS alligator clip to terminal on fan, if fan is good it will run. Or take 12 volt test light (easier) buy one real cheap, one connector to each of the fan wires & if it lights up - then fan is bad. Cause fan motor has power directly to it so if not run = bad.
Engine hot and fan cooling it down?Fan temperature sensor bad and it just thinks engine is hot and needs to be cooled down
some reasons under powered engine for car and speed you are doing insuffient coolant in engine bad water pump bad fan hot weather and speed clogged radiator either outside or inside
It is definitely caused by a problemtic cooling fan relay. When the bad relay shorts internally, it causes the fan to stay on at all times which drains the battery.
