how much does it cost to have a catalytic converter installed in a 2002 Mazda tribute
Where could I find diagram for 2003 catalytic converter on a Mazada 6
if your going to change the cadiladic converter on your Mazda you should thimk about going high flow the are about 250 installed mabe 275 at minikie but for a stcok replacment i believe its 225
There is two oxygen sensors. One is located before the catalytic converter is located under the heat sheld. The oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter is found under the catalytic converter (under the car) before the catalytic transfer pipe.
None. A Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and a catalytic converter (as used on gas engines) are extremely different, as is their construction.
in front of and behind catalytic converter.
po421 is catalytic converter problem rear bank
One just before the catalytic converter and the other just after the cat converter.
Either the converter is partially clogged and needs replacing or you have a miss in the engine which is dumping raw fuel into the converter where it is being burned.
That should be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
The carbureted 86-93 Mazda trucks do have a catalytic converter off the exhaust manifold, whereas the fuel injected version does not. If you have the carbed version, and you put on a header (like a pacesetter) to replace the exhaust manifold, then you will get rid of 1 catalytic converter.
Not unless it is clogged or damaged. You cannot run the car without a converter if that is what you are asking. It is illegal and the engine will not run properly with the converter removed.
The 2002 Mazda MPV has two flex pipes that comes from manifold. One of these flex pipes comes with the catalytic converter. I had it changed at Speedy and it cost around $800.00 cost, labour, taxes incl.
The bank 2 is located on the driver side of the engine on the Mazda Tribute. The Sensor 2 is located after the catalytic converter.
Not sure but a 1991 model does, so it stands to reason that a 1990 would.
It's Hot! It needs to be to work properly.
That would be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
Sounds like a plugged Catalytic converter. They plug up and won't flow through and in turn get smoking hot from the reduced flow and kill your power.
I have a 1986 Mazda familia/323, whose heat light is on. I was told it was the catalytic converter that has collapsed. Infact it had and I dismantled the exhaust system and found bits of the catalytic in the muffler. I dismantled the rest of the system and found where the converter was. I removed all the catalytic and reassembled the exhaust. Guess what? the light is still on! So I am still ssearching for more info.
if is bank 1 it will it the 1000 from the dealer because is a direc fit but if is bank 2 could be 200 or 250 and any muffler shop can replace it
if we are talking about clogged catalytic converter; 1. Lost of power 2. Engine warm up fast 3. press gas pedal, but engine runs low RPM it depends on the % clogged
