It is very normal for you to bleed after birth. Usually the only time you won't right away is if you are breast feeding. Once you start to bleed you are likely to bleed for 4-6 weeks straight.
If you're using hormonal Birth Control then you don't menstruate, the whole purpose is to stop ovulation and thus you don't menstruate (you may get a withdrawal bleed on options like the combination pill). You do get irregular bleeds for the first three months on hormonal birth control.

6 weeks
It is NOT normal to give birth at 6 weeks.
Generally, a woman can expect a period by about 6 weeks after giving birth.
It could take 6 weeks for you to see a proper period.
That is quite normal for a couple of weeks.
Breast feeding is a natural inhibitor of fertility, so if you're breast feeding you will be highly unlikely to have periods. Non-breast feeding mothers could expect to return to a fairly normal menstrual cycle about 10 weeks after giving birth but this can vary.
no this is NOT normal, maybe you have forgotten the pill or miscalculated.
No it will take as much as 6 months
Passing clots is considered normal up to 3 weeks after giving birth. At six months, a woman should consult her doctor.
I have two kids and I am 40 weeks pregnant today! From past experience, my period came on right after I was done bleeding from giving birth. Like within a day or two. Took a few months for it to get back on track, though! Good luck!
