I don't know if it is the same but the EGR valve on my 1977 Ford 302 was underneath the carburetor at the back of a spacer
Remove the EGR valve from the Corsa. Wash the EGR valve with carburetor cleaner. Make sure that the valve is clean of gunk and let it dry. Reinstall the valve.
An EGR valve can be cleaned. Remove the EGR valve, then flush it with carburetor cleaner. Allow the unit to dry then reinstall.
That depends, is it carbureted or EFI? If you have a carburetor I'd suggest the jets, float level, accelerator pump... If it's EFI check the EGR valve, oxygen sensors, scan the computer for a fault.
The 7.3 diesel does not any EGR! i said 6.0
The EGR Valve is located in the engine compartment on the Ford Focus. The EGR Valve is set almost dead center into the top of the motor. The EGR Valve looks like a small carburetor with caps on the top and sides.
On a straight six carbureted f150, the EGR valve is located beneath the Carburetor. The carburetor sits on a part I call the EGR plate. The EGR valve is attached to this place at the end. The EGR Valve is a round metal piece that kinda looks like a flying saucer. It will be on the left side of the engine. After unbolting the EGR valve, clean it with a carburetor spray. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling the valve.
Yes you can clean it. Remove it and spray it with carburetor cleaner and clean the tubes out with a small screwdriver.
After removing an EGR valve from the vehicle, the valve can be flushed with carburetor cleaner. If the valve still sticks then a replacement will be needed.
