You're not even suppose to have sex until 4-6 weeks after giving birth vaginally and 6-12 weeks by c-section. However if you're breastfeeding, you are very unlikely to get pregnant as long as your breastfeed but it is still possible. In short- your chances for being pregnant this early is 1% You can have sex after giving birth as soon as you BOTH feel like it. Every doctor has seen women already pregnant at the 6 week post-natal check. Breast-feeding is not a contraceptive in the West we are too well-fed.

∙ 15y agoYour body returns to its normal ovulating pattern. so if you want to take Birth Control, you need to start taking either the pill (if you are bottle feeding) or the mini pill (if you are breastfeeding) on DAY 21 following the birth of your baby. If you are breastfeeding, it is fairly unlikely that you would get pregant in the first couple of weeks.

∙ 14y agoYour chances of concieving during the first six weeks after delivery are increased because your female organs have not completely shrunk and you uterus has not fully closed up yet. Don't believe it when people say breast feeding is a birth control, it's true you have hormones that could confuse your body and makae it resist pregnancy though. After having my second daughter I got pregnant the first time I had sex & I was breast feeding. She was only three weeks old! Yes I know I had no buisness doing it but he would n't leeeave me alone and we were careful and only did partial penetration. Get on birth control first.Oh & I had a miscarriage at 1 month.

∙ 13y agoIt is possible but unlikely especially if you are breast feeding. If you do not want to get pregnant make sure that he uses a condom.
I would like to know what your doing having sex 2 weeks after birth? Do you know your supposed to wait 6 weeks to fully heal and be checked by your doctor to make sure it's safe to resume sex. having sex after giving birth, even a c-section, if your not healed can cause infection and many other dangerous complications inside.
