Chicken - if properly packaged and stored consistently at 0°F - should keep for up to a year and maybe even longer. From a microbiological standpoint, no bacteria would grow while it was frozen.
Of course, for it to be safe to eat, the chicken will need to be cooked to the proper temperature.
Most freezers, like the one attached to your refrigerator, chill at around twenty degrees Fahrenheit. A turkey will remain fresh and tasty for about six months in a typical freezer. the turkey begins to lose flavor after six months, and will probably taste like sawdust at the twelve-month mark, though it wills till be edible. Deep freezers used for home bulk storage chill at zero degrees Fahrenheit, and will double the safe storage time. If this has been cooling its heels above your fridge for two years, toss it. It's not worth the effort, and you have wasted more money keeping it frozen than you would if you bought yourself a nice fresh turkey. Walmart is currently selling frozen turkeys for 40 cents a pound. I would recommend you defrost one of theirs instead of the fossil you've been storing in your freezer.
It really depends on the type of meat you are talking about. For safe freezing, meat should be kept in it's original wrapping, then re-wrapped again, in foil or plastic bags, and marked, if being stored long-term, with the date.
Guidelines:
A beef or pork roast or steaks, can, if safely stored, be kept in a freezer for up to one year. Pork chops up to 8 months. Ham (gammon) up to 3 months. Ground (minced) and stew meats, up to 3 months. Hot Dogs no more than 2 months. Previously cooked meats up to 3 months.
Technically freezing keeps food safe indefinitely. The issue is that the quality of the food may diminish over time. Frozen food is usually good to the taste for up to six months or so.
Microbiologically, it should be OK as long as it was safe when frozen and has been kept properly frozen. It might not taste very good, but it should be safe.
yes
NO!!!!!!!!! IT WOULDNT BE SAFE TO GIVE ANYTHING 2-YEAR-OLD CHICKEN. OR ANY 2-YEAR-OLD FOOD!!!!!!!!!!

no you can get a variety of diseases from it
If you just bought it and froze it for 3 years, salomonilla wouldn't be able to grow. Espeacially if it was insulated. As long as you cook it thouroghly it shoud be safe.
It's safe ... but they won't be very tasty. Typically, you shouldn't store food for more than six months for maximum flavor.
Frozen pork can be stored safely in a freezer for up to six months. Frozen ground pork can be stored safely in a freezer for up to three months.
If well wrapped and kept solidly frozen, Chicken will keep it's original quality for about six months in the freezer. It is still safe to eat after a year, but will have lost much of it's "original quality" by then - it should be used within six months.
Bacteria growth would not be a problem since the pathogenic type won't grow at proper freezer temperatures. The fat in the chicken most likely has become rancid and the meat may have developed other off flavors. It could be OK, but it is hardly worth the effort to find out. Toss it out.
