Yes, it has the same bell housing bolt pattern.
1955-up same Chevy and gmc with 90 degree bellhousing pattern.
No it is not
same bolt pattern if the 4l60e was behind a v8 or 4.3and the th400 was from a chevy and not a (bpo or caddy )
The bell housing bolt pattern would be the same.
same way as on most models, except it has a fifth bolt on the top of the bell housing
Physically, they are the same exterior dimensions, but that's about it. Bore and stroke are different, rod journal diameter is smaller on the 283, heads bolt on, but no accessory mounting holes in 283, balancer is different. Carb and intake would interchange, distributor fits, bell housing bolt pattern is the same.
The bell housing is not the same on the two but if you are doing a change over from a automatic to a stick and have the trans and bell housing the will will fit where a automatic came out.
Yes the bell housing should be the same. Yes the bell housing should be the same.
yes it will. chevy V8 engines all shared the same bell housing bolt pattern. you may need to replace the flywheel though as 454 were usually externally balanced where 350 was internally balanced.
