connected to your water pump.
in front of radiator, its connected to your fan blade.
I had the same problem with our TB. It is connected to the water pump. Have your water pump replaced and your problem will be solved. Water pump cost approx. $80
Raise the hood and look and see.
I just changed the water pump on a 2000 olds bravada, v6 engine. To actually change one you have to take off a lot of components. the fan, the clutch fan assembly, and the serpentine belt. The pulley that makes the fan go, is connected to the water pump. There are two radiator looking hoses connected to the top of the water pump. The best bet if you are going to repair it is to research and read the Haynes manual on it.
located and connected to the fan, drain radiator, remove both ,radiator hoses, remove fan belt, remove fan shroud, remove radiator.remove fan, remove water pump.
there is a serpentine belt that powers the ac, fan , water pump, and all that.
On the aj6 engine fitted to xj40 the water pump is at the front of the engine near the radiator. Easily identified by the water hose connected to radiator, and on early non electric fan models the fan is attached to the front of the pump and needs to be removed to access.
First drain the water out and disconnect the battery then remove the fan and fan shroud and serpineteen belt then disconect the lower radiator hose and remove the pulley off the water pump then remove the heater hose that's connected to a pipe off the water pump and then remove water pump.
It is connected to the fan and fan clutch. should only be 5 bolts a swap out with a new seal. when done refil the antifreeze and open the antifreeze bleeder( which is a small bolt on top of the part ) start and let air bubbles out close and your done.
It turns to the left.
Usually, Its attached to the Fan. You need to Remove the Serpentine belt, and remove the Fan, Its tricky cause the fan moves, I usually get good results with a crowbar, Drain the Radiator fluid, and remove the hoses connected to Water pump. There may be a pipe connected to the old water pump and a sealer ring you need to attach to the new pump so make sure you keep it, then remove the Bolts connecting the pump to the engine. Clean the rest of the gasket off the space in the engine and replace new pump in the same place, attach the bolts, Reattach the hoses, Fan assembly, Belt and refill with fluid.
