Pontiac PVC Valve is located on the Driver's side rear valve cover.

Most GM PCV valves are on top of one of the rocker covers. It's usually inserted into a rubber grommet and connected to a hose that goes back to the throttle body.
A 1997 Jeep 4.0L does not have a pcv valve. It uses an orifice in the top of the valve cover.
You don't fix it, you replace it.

The PVC valve is located on the top of the engine. It is on the drivers side of the engine close to the back.

It's the pcv valve (pressure control valve), and it's located on top of the engine block to the right hand side, can't miss it.
If I'm not mistaken, it does not have a pcv valve, my 2000 doesn't have one on it...
first of all its a P.C.V. valve not a PVC. PVC is pipe that plumbers use to remove waste from most modern homes. Second, Its usually located right on top of the engine valve cover housing. They usually seat in a rubber grommet and should pop right out if you pull it firmly straight out of their socket. :o)
