Another thing to check is the cleanliness of the air filter.
Another thing to check is the Coil. when the Coil gets hot, it shuts off the engine because it provides no spark to the spark plug. When the coil gets cool then the mower will start. Best thing to do is to replace the coil. Try and find a used coil for your mower., it will be cheaper and putting it on will be pretty easy., make sure you use a non-laminated business card to use as a gap between the coil and the magnet on the flywheel.
