Remove the plastic caps on the Astra wiper arm. There is a nut under the cap, remove it. The arm will now slide off of the splined shaft.
What are you removing? The blades or the arms
It is under the wiper arms.It is under the wiper arms.
bacon
The wiper arms have disconnected from the wiper motor. How do you reconnect them?
Wiper arms cannot be repaired, only replaced. The arm should come off by removing the nut at the bottom of the arm and the washer sprayer hose
A person can get the old wiper blades off the wiper arms of a Chevy Astro Van by pressing the release latch and sliding them out the end. This allows the blades themselves to be changed without removing the whole arm.
Last week the linkage on my wiper let go....removing the plastic to get at is not for the faint at heart. It involves removing the wiper arms, which is the only hard part but its a pain. The wiper arms are splined on, and held on with clips underneath, they have to be pryed off, and then lined up PERFECTLY afterwards. Other than the wiper arms, there are a few small screws in the pastic, and the washer lines are attached to this piece, so watch out that you dont break them off.
yes
Take off the bolts at the bottom of the wiper arms and you may have to wiggle the arms back and forth to work the wiper arms off.
