Not sure about your Venture, but Chevy trucks are: Turn ignition to run (do not start engine). Press gas pedal completely to the floor three times in five seconds. Wait 10 seconds (if you have one of the oil life monitor screens, watch for it to blink.) Turn ignition switch off. Start the vehicle.

It's been a long time since I had a Venture, but if I remember right, you scroll through the menu until you get to that selection, then you press and hold the button until it resets.
You can reset your engine service light by holding in the scroll button. Hold the button in until the engine oil life goes to 100 percent. The engine service light will go off.
Resetting the ECM without fixing the reason why the check engine light came on will only lead to the check engine light coming back on soon.
