What reaction would you predict from an organism growing in litmus milk that has the following results in other media?

Assuming that you are asking about other media such as milk agar, PR lactose broth, purple lactose broth, and PR glucose broth, the answer you are looking for is as follows: A. A clear zone around the growth on a milk agar plate: indicates hydrolysis of casein, so should be clarification of medium present B. A/- in PR lactose broth: indicates lactose fermentation with acid and no gas produced, so should be pink litmus with acid clots and reduction of litmus in lower portion of medium C. A/G in purple lactose broth: indicates lactose fermentation with acid and gas produced, so should have pink litmus on top, acid clot, reduction of litmus, and fissures in the clot D. K in PR glucose broth: indicates peptone degradation with alkaline end products, so litmus should be blue

When should a broth culture be used?

Broth culture is used when u have to enamurate the microbial population as it can be done by cell counting by counter coulter or any other method, or can be done by measuring the turbidity of broth after regular interval with the help of spectrophotometer.

What is broth microdilution method CLSI M27 A2?

The broth microdilution method CLSI M27 A2 is a standardized procedure used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antifungal drugs against fungi. It involves diluting the antifungal drug in a series of broth tubes containing the fungal isolate and incubating them for a specified period. The MIC is defined as the lowest concentration of the drug that inhibits visible growth of the fungus.

What is the broth in the flask?

In a science experiment, a broth is a liquid and a flask is a particular shape of glassware. If the method of your experiment refers to "the broth in the flask", look back over the previous steps and figure out what chemicals and liquids you added to the flask. If the goal of the experiment is to determine what the unknown broth in the flask is you may have to determine it by observing it's physical and chemical traits, be careful with the unknown broth in case it is flammable, poisonous or otherwise dangerous.

Preparation of penicillin by submerged culture method?

The penicillium is grown in a broth of corn steep liquor, lactose, and calciumcarbonate. Filter the broth through a qualitative paper filter to remove the pencillium. Add activated carbon to absorb the pencillin (allow carbon to soak for 15min). remove carbon via filter and place in acetate.

Why is it necessary to use bacteriologic controls to monitor heat sterilization technique?

Such preparations contain viable endospores dried on paper strips or suspended in nutrient broth within a sealed ampule. When appropriately placed within an autoclave load, endospores controls can indicate weather the autoclave is operating efficiently and mechanically; individual item packing is correct; and load arrangement permits sterilization of every item.
