there is no drain...... you have to unbolt the whole transmission pan to drain the fluid. make sure you have the right(new) gasket before you undo it! also change the filter while you are at it. put on the new filter and gasket reinstall the pan, then you can fill it with Transmission Fluid.

4l80e or 4l80-e is the tranny they use and they do have to of them, one is for the speedometer gauge and one tells it when to shift
The solenoid is on the starter.
Believe it or not, there is not a radiator drain plug on the 2004 GMC Savana 2500. I had to change the coolant the old fashion way by taking off the bottom hose and letting it drain. Check the hose to make sure it's serviceable before putting it back on. Push the hose all the way up on the water pump inlet and place the clamp about 1/4" - 1/2" form the top of the hose.
