How about trying to put a sway bar or stabilizer bar. This part of the suspension usually aids in increasing the suspension's roll stiffness and the resistance of the car to roll in turns.

What causes an ES 300 1998 to have a rough ride feel from rear area Replaced tires and still not a comfortable?

You may be feeling a rough ride in your 1998 ES 300 due to poor shocks or struts. I would suggest having your mechanic take a look at them.

How many miles before shock absorbers need to be replaced?

Well, I wouldn't change shocks at all unless the ride was rough or the shocks were visibly leaking. Check them out. if no inherent problems, 75000 miles is usually recommended.

Why does my car squeak in the back and rides rough?

Shocks have gone bad ( dried out seals ) or spring shackles loose. have someone bounce the rear of the car while you look under to narrow down the source of the squeak.

Why would a 98 Contour rear suspension make knocking noises whenever you drive over any type of semi-rough road like something is loose but you looked and did not see anything obvious?

THE REAR STRUTS HAVE NYLON BUSHINGS WHERE THEY MOUNT TO THE FRAME, AFTER A FEW YEARS THE NYLON HOLES WHERE THE BOLT GOES THROUGH GET WORN OUT AND THE STRUTS START SLAPPING UPK AND DOWN WHEN HITTING ROUGH ROADS. MINE WERE DOING THE SAME THING, I REPLACED THE STRUTS AND THAT TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM. struts mine did the same thing Answer I had this problem on my '98, I replaced the struts but that did not take care of the problem, what it ended up being was the rear sway bar mounts had been worn and loosened enough to create this problem.

Grinding noise in front end driver's side when wheel is turned. replaced CV axle and wheel bearing. noise is still there. just more quiet. Why would this do that?

Check for rusted brake parts, and also for partly seized bearing plates on the front struts, causing them to turn in a rough or jerky fashion. Sometimes the struts can be greased but often they need to be replaced.

What wears struts out?

How much should struts cost for a 4 cylinder 98 Honda Accord and what happens if I don't have them fixed?

The average cost of struts for a 1998 Honda Accord 4 cylinder is anywhere from $250 to $350 for four. If the struts are not replaced then the car will not be able to absorb bumps in the road. This will make for a bouncy and rough ride and ultimately this can also lead to irregular tire wear.
