Get a female hamster as they look white and cute and the first thing that they are a lot more active than the male russians. They often climb on the treadmill and they keep themselves fit. Also they are less aggressive.

I'd probably say that it is better to keep two females together as males can become very competitive and are more territorial. If the female in either case becomes pregnant, then the hamsters need to be separated. The mother will kill her offspring if she is disturbed, so it is very important to put the cage in a quiet, undisturbed area, away from other hamsters.

Well, to show you a picture, google petsmart.com and look at their rodents for sale. Just click '' small pet'' and it will bring them up. Then, look at Live pet and click on ''hamster''. It will bring up all the types of hamsters they sell. The first hamster you see on their hamster page should be the ''Russian Dwarf Hamster''. If you don't have a computer, or lap top, go to your local library and look for hamster books. They should have at least one book all about Russian Dwarf Hamsters for you. Still can't find them?
