Depending on what year model your truck is, it would go like this... 94 and earlier would have a distributor you would start at the top center plug on the dist and go clockwise the cylinder numbers, from the front to the back are Left(drivers side) 4 5 6 [front] [back] and the right side 1 2 3 the firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 95 and later have a coil pack its numbered 1 2 3 (left side) front Back 5 6 4 (right side)

The 2.5L engine has 8 plugs and it does only have 4 Cylinders...It has a dual ignition system.The 2 rear spark plugs and wires on the Driver's side are hard to get to...
The distributors have the wire numbers stamped on top. When I changed mine, I happened to clean the crud off, and there they were.
