The most common causes of buzzing in the ear (tinnitus) are Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) such as aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil). If you are taking any of those more often than once every day or so, they are probably the cause. Aspirin and ibuprofen are also hard on the stomach when taken too often. If you have chronic pain, you should see a doctor about possible alternative solutions.
