I filanny got an answer. Echo taillight bulb is also break bulb. This bulb has TWO filaments in it, one for taillight and the other for breaklight. My case was taillight filament is gone, but breaklight filament is OK. Answer is "change the bulb" Model number is 7443, (not 7440, which has only one filament for breaklight). Google 7443 bulb or check below site, it's only 6 bucks. http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=SYL&MfrPartNumber=7443 Hope it will be helped to you~!
Is it the taillights or the brake lights? If taillights it may be a wiring problem, If brake lights check the switch on the brake pedal
Possible ground issue at the taillights.
Do parking and dash lights work? If not, may be fuse most vehicles it is the same circuit
you need to repair the lights and they will both work and your taillights will work properly
WHAT ARE YOU DUMB REPALCE YOUR LIGHT BULBS STUPID! Not stupid replaced circuit boards checked fuses ran test light . When headlights are on no brake light or taillights and have all new bulbs stupid. Turn headlights off brake lights work, so figure that out smart man
GO AND BUY I NEW light bulb !
It should say TAIL for taillights or maybe brake lights.
Check your fuses! -I once got a ticket for 'no taillights' when my dashlights were fine -it was the fuse.
in dash lights
taillights or brake lights?it is common on many vehicles for the brake light switch (connected directly to the brake pedal) to stick over time. try gently pulling back on the brake pedal with your toe and see if the lights go off.if it is the actual taillights then i would look for a short in the wiring, possibly near the taillights themselves or right at the light switch in the cab.
The tailights might be burned out. Typically the tailights and brake lights are separate bulbs.
If you just barely touch the brake pedal the brake lights will come on but the brakes will for all intent and purpose not be applied.
