The blower fan on your 1992 ford e150 v8only works on low speed what could cause the high and medium speed not to be working?
need a new blower motor control module. This is a common thing. They cost about $25 and just plug in. most often are located under the dash right by the blower. Need to have smaller sockets to remove trim panel and take cover off where the module plugs in.
Blower motor NG. Blower motor resister NG. Blower motor fuse NG. Blower motor switch NG.
Defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack.
Check the fuse and relay first. Then check the blower resister, then the blower motor itself. One of these is probably the cause of the failure.
Blown fuse, defective blower motor, or defective blower motor resistor pack.
can be the heater blower motor resistor located in either the ductwork or under hood near blower motor on firewall
What would cause the blower fan in my 2001 Prizm to stop working in the 1st and 2nd position with only the 3rd and 4th positions currently working?
sounds like blower motor resistor. they are about $30.00 from the dealer
The most probabale cause for this sympstom is the blower motor , blower motor relay, or a fuse.
Blown fuse, bad heater blower motor control switch, bad blower motor, or a bad blower motor resistor pack.
The most common problems will be with either the power or the ground going to the the blower motor.................
Why would replacing radiator in 2002 Honda Accord 6-cylinder cause the ac blower fan to stop working inside car?
No, that would have no bearing on the blower motor. Check the fuse, blower motor resistro pack, and the blower motor itself.
Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.
What would cause the blower and AC to stop working while the battery charge light illuminates in the dashboard simulataneously?
A blower motor shutting off with a battery charge light lit might mean that there is a problem with the power supply going to the blower motor. A bad battery or alternator could also be the cause for this.
What would cause intermittent problems with blower motor on 1998 Chevy blazer sometimes it gets power sometimes it doesnt. it quits working while on or starts working while on. also wheres the relay?
Check connections at the blower motor, blower motor resistor and at the switch. You may find a melted connection.
Blown fuse? Bad relay? Bad switch? Burned out motor?
What would cause the blower motor resistor to keep shorting out on your 93 astro van don't have your low and medium speeds only have the last two replaced the switch and it test good still?
u need a new blower motor
Blower motor resistor is the most common problem. it is held in by 2 screws under the glovebox area. Easy to replace.
What would cause the blower in a 1993 Ford Tempo to stop working Blower motor control switch or both?
It could be the motor, switch, relay, corroded or dirty connector, damaged wire or blown fuse.
blower(fan motor) do go bad, before pulling out try and get to fan connection with a VOM and check for voltage.
Blown fuse, bad switch, defective blower motor, or bad HVAC resistor pack. Wet fish caught in fan blades??
What would cause the blower fan in a 98 Plymouth Neon to stop working The antifreeze has been checked and is full and good to -39?
Possible causes could be, fuse, relay, sensor, blower motor or electrical connector.
Blown fuse, bad fan speed control switch, bad blower motor resistor pack, bad blower motor, or loose or disconnected wiring.
OK, did the blower motor actually just stop, or does it still blow but no heat?
What would cause the heater and ac to just stop working in a 1992 GMC SIERRA and the light for them to not turn on?
The blower motor speed switch is burned out or the fuse is blown.
Assuming you are asking about the HVAC blower motor, check the condition of the switch and the electrical connection at the switch. And, if the original resistor was burned out the cause is usually because of the blower motor drawing too much current. If so, replace the blower motor or you will burn out another resistor soon.
that 's tell you that the brushes in the air blower are gone and you need to buy a new blower usaly cost around 150 dollars It could also be the blower motor switch or resistor, I had an intermittently bad switch that would cause "medium-high" to go regular speed and very slow. If the blower fan works good in different positions like high, then it could be one of these other 2, usually cheaper… Read More
What could cause the heater blower to stop working even after it and the heater control was replaced on a 1992 Ford Thunderbird?
You still have a blower resister assembly, wiring, and a blower motor itself, in that system. Any one of those could have a problem. You need to use a test light at the blower motor connector and see if you are getting both power and ground. If you are missing a ground, most likely you have a bad blower resister assembly. If you are mssing power, check fuses and wiring. If you have both power… Read More
These are two separate systems; if neither is working, the cause might be a blown fuse or circuit breaker, perhaps the one that controls the blower.
The most probable cause is low coolant level. After that you may have a bad thermostat or possibly a clogged heater core. You really need to give more info for a better answer. Does it work when the vehicle is moving but not so well when waiting at a light? Is the blower working? Is it not working at all?
There is more than one thing that could cause this. It could be as simple as a bad connection or worst case it could be a blower motor starting to go bad. Next time it isn't working, locate the motor and tap on it. If it starts working, that is a good sign the motor is going bad.
What would cause the Fan blower to stop on a 98 Cadillac De Ville while the AC compressor is still working?
My 1998 Deville Concours had a blown blower motor for the heater/ac unit. I had to replace it because it stopped working likely due to age (replaced in 2008) and it was filthy when I took it out. Hard to do this by yourself but it can be done if you remove the obvious things in your way underneath the hood. Good luck! The blower motor fans cost around $130 ish.
First check the coolant level, a coolant leak would cause a heater to stop working- assuming you mean the blower is blowing but it isn't hot. A stuck thermostat will also cause you problems with your heat.
A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
What would cause the interior fan to have just one speed would the most likely cause be the switch or the blower motor itself?
neither, blower resistor or blower module controls fan speeds.
The following can cause this problem.................. 1. Bad blower motor. 2. Bad blower motor wheel. 3. Trash in the blower housing...
There are many things that can cause this.......... 1. The blower motor is weak. 2. The blower wheel is broken. 3. There is trash inside the recirculation door. 4. Dash controls are not working correctly. 5. Internal a/c - heating doors are loose, broken or bad.. 6. You may have a bad blower resister..
There are a couple of reasons why a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero ac heater to stop working. The heater coil may need to be replaced or the HVAC blower motor may need to be replaced.
Check the fan fuse. If the fan does not work on any speed then the most likely cause is either a blown fuse or a bad blower motor.
Most likely cause is a failed blower resistor.
Check the fuses first and the blower relay.
My mercury manual says to use a 30 amp fuse for the blower motor however someone put a 20 amp fuse in. Would this cause my blower motor not to work?
The blower motor could stop working if it blew the 20 amp fuse. That's probably the worst that would happen. You should replace it with a 30 amp fuse, if that is what's called for in your manual.
The most common cause of the blower only working in high is the blower motor resistor…. I don't recall exactly where it is on a liberty but it should be somewhere behind or underneath the glove box…. It adds resistance to lessen the speed of the motor until you put it on the high setting then it gets straight battery voltage…. I hope this helps you out
The compressor working to remove the heat from the air, but the blades could be dirty if the unit is old which throws off the balance of the blades and could cause this.
I have a 96 Tahoe and mine stopped working. The most common reason is heat build up inside the blower motor switch caused a meltdown on the backside of the switch and it shorted it out completely. The dash pops off and the switch housing comes out with two screws and unplugs. It's a part you can buy at the local auto store (in my case Autozone) and it's now working again just fine. hope… Read More
YOU HAVE A RESTICTION AT THE ORFICE TUBE OR EXPANSION VALVE. OR THE BLEND DOOR ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. WHAT KIND OF VEHICLE - YEAR MAKE MODEL? 2007 Chevy Surburban...the a/c is working fine back and front but the front blower is blowing air very low, even on high speed?
If the blower runs on high it will get hot. If the blower is wearing out this will cause it to get to hot and blow.
the most likely cause is not a fuse but the final stage blower resistor, its very easy to replace, it located near the right side footwell vent duct. remove the trim panel under the glove box, and the resistor is very visabl along with the connector, remove and replace resistor, experienced tech takes about 5mins. to do. good luck.
A common cause for this is a burned out blower resistor. Tech JK --------------------------
Protein signals cause cells to divide in a culture medium.
Simple wear and tear. After a certain amount of usage, (which varies with each vehicle) the motor simply stops working. Simple wear and tear. After a certain amount of usage, (which varies with each vehicle) the motor simply stops working.
Why would blower stop working on 2000 ford contour Worked only on high for months then stopped Changed resistor and switch in dash and checked fuses How do you test blower itself.?
The blower motor can be checked with an ohm meter to test continuity. Also, use a volt meter and check to insure that the resister and motor are actually getting power. a broken wire or bad plug connection will cause loss of power.
