They don't believe that Mary should be revered so much, but they do believe that she gave birth to Jesus and all that.
They don't pray to the saints.
They don't have a pope.

AnswerFrom a Catholic point of view, they can all be boiled down to one salient point: Catholics believe that they have free will, but that free will is only to accept or reject God. If you accept God then HOW you worship Him has been defined by Him, and HOW you act in your life has been defined by Him. Protestants biggest difference is that they believe they have free will to determine how they are going to worship God, they are going to determine which books of The Bible they are going to use (Martin Luther threw out seven books of the Old Testament that he disagreed with and protestants have stuck with his choices ever since). Every original protestant "church" was started by someone who couldn't live with the moral standards that the Church had preached as handed down to them from Our Blessed Lord, so they made their own standards up.The Catholic tradition was started by Jesus Christ, who guaranteed that it would remain until the end of time, and that He would be with it, AND send the Holy Spirit to guide it. The Protestant tradition was started by various individuals in the sixteenth century who didn't agreed with the teaching of Jesus Christ and started their own religions. They are all dead and gave no guarantees.
The Catholic tradition says that it is a way to lead a good life and has consistently proved that through twenty centuries of saints. The protestant tradition says that it is unnecessary to lead a good life, you only need to believe in the name of Jesus and you are saved. It's founding father, M. Luther, actually said you should go out and sin multiple times in order to show God's goodness.

Catholicism differs from Protestantism & Orthodoxy in believing in Purgatory. It also believes in the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.
Orthodoxy differs from Catholicism & Protestantism in believing that a soul can still be Saved from Hell.
There is only one basic difference between Catholic and protestant beliefs: Catholics believe that you only have one choice in life, whether to accept or reject (ignore) Jesus Christ. If you accept Him, then you accept His Body, which is the Church. You must constantly make this choice throughout your life in every choice placed in front of you - for or against Christ.
.
Protestants believe that they have lots of choices, as their interpretation of what they are going to believe is based on their own individual interpretation of the Sacred Scriptures (as mutilated by Martin Luther and company), thus they not only choose for or against Christ, but they determine HOW they are going to choose Christ. They tell God how they are going to worship Him, what they are going to believe, and how they are going to act.
There is no difference. Catholics play the same sports and in the same manner as a Protestant.
Protestant worship was in the local language. Catholic worship was in Latin. The protestant congregations sang hymns. The Catholic congregations did not. Since the Lutheran worship service was a translation of the Roman Catholic one before Trent, little difference existed there.
The Gospel of Matthew is included in the Catholic versions of the Bible, and always has been. With respect to the book of Matthew, there are no substantial differences between the Catholic canon and the Protestant.

Theology is the study of the nature of God and religious beliefs, while prayer is a practice of communicating with a higher power. Theology informs our understanding of who or what we are praying to, as well as the beliefs and practices that shape our prayers. In turn, prayer can deepen our theological understanding and relationship with the divine by providing a tangible way to embody and reflect on our beliefs.
The main difference is that the Catholic Church has a lot more bright colours, whereas the Protestants are more bland.
The main difference is the authority of the pope. Catholics accept it, Protestants and Orthodox don't. There are some differences in the cannon (list of books) included in the Old Testament (although they all have the same New Testament). There are several different types of Protestant religions (Lutheran, Methodist, Anglican, etc) which have differences between themselves and differences between Catholic/Orthodox. So complicated to get into more specifics.
yes
Yes! they venerate especially the person of Saint Luke.He painted the oldest picture of Mary with the child Jesus. This is called the Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The above answer applies to Catholics - Protestants do not venerate images - this is one of the differences between Protestant and Catholic theology.
It brought more religions to the country (catholic and protestant) and there was a tension between the Catholic and protestant.<3
The difference between Protestant and Catholic Church decoration is great and varied and I should liken it to the difference between a donut and a French Gateaux. One is simple and the other is quite complex; each one reflecting the Theology that prevails in the institution. This is reflected in all aspects of the building; so, the richer the Tradition more elaborate the building.
