Assuming your question is 'how to adjust the timing'...
on most older cars with a distributor it the timing can be adjusted by turning the distributor itself. Even just turning the distributor a little at a time with the engine idling you can get it good enough by ear. Then give it a test drive. It the car sounds fine but is sluggish accelerating advance the timing (by twisting distributor) in the direction that speed the idle.
